Promoting Regional Dialogue and Partnership

The AKCMM project promotes regional awareness, dialogue, knowledge exchange, and partnerships on methane mitigation across ASEAN. At the regional level, the project convenes workshops, capacity-building sessions, and technical dialogues that bring together ASEAN Member States, the ASEAN Secretariat, technical experts, research institutions, the private sector, and development partners.

Key activities include:

• Regional workshops to share country progress, lessons learned, and good practices in methane mitigation
• Capacity-building sessions on methane emissions modelling, data analysis, measurement, and MRV approaches
• Sector-focused technical dialogues on mitigation opportunities in agriculture, waste, energy, and other relevant sectors
• Knowledge exchange and partnership-building to support coordinated and scalable methane mitigation actions across ASEAN

The activities are designed based on needs identified during project implementation and through close consultation with ASEAN stakeholders.
